I think a lot of people don’t understand what true love and romance is.
Anyone can buy flowers, candy and jewelry, there’s no true love in that.
The truly lovable things in life are those little things you do every day to show you care, and that you’re thinking of them.
It’s going out of your way to make someone somewhere happy.
It’s about the way one holds your hand when knowing you are scared. Or how you saved he last piece of cake for him.
It’s about the random text in the middle of the day, just to say you are thinking of him.
It’s about the way he stops to kiss you when he passes by.
It’s about dedicating his favourite song to him, and letting him eat your fries…
It’s about him telling you are beautiful even when you are in sweats, with hair in the bun and no makeup.
It’s about putting your favourite show on pause so that he can tell you about his day.
It’s about slow dancing in the living room and kissing in the rain.
Love isn’t about buying, it’s about giving. True love are the gestures.
It’s about the one person whose love is powerful enough to motivate you to meet your soul, to do the emotional work of self-discovery, of awakening.
It’s about us falling asleep to the sound of each other’s breaths. It’s about giving an earbud so he could hear everything I was listening to.
It’s about giving smiles. It’s about how I smiled under the sheets at night knowing he is there.
It’s about how you held the door for me and how I could feel you loved me just by looking at me.
It’s about the way you combed my hair back.
It’s about pouring whole heart…it’s about closing eyes hard and allowing our souls to meet and letting spirit got on us knees and surrendering everything to each other.
It’s about the memories, it’s about our memories…and I wouldn’t dare let someone else take them.
It’s about pure love we give…in words, thoughts, in emotions…and in soul. It’s about giving without hesitation. Giving something breakable and hoping they won’t break it.
Him and I, we didn’t just find love, we are love.
Love beyond love.
The kind of love that will outlive our bodies.
Truly… there is only one happiness in life…to love and to be loved.
We knew it before we said it….
